The Story behind it all...

The original proprietors of the Gallery, Sarah and Ron Sullivan, themselves parents of two young daughters, shared concerns for better child development, enhanced family time and stronger community bonds. In 2007, their ideas became reality and the Children's Museum and Play Gallery was founded in the Historic Town Center of Delafield, WI.

In 2010, Colleen and Paul Poblocki assumed ownership of the Gallery and are carrying on the values set forth by the Sullivan's of childhood development through interactive play, family togetherness and strong community bonds. Colleen and Paul are parents of three young children themselves: Ben (13), Sam (12) and Mary (9). Under their watch, Colleen and Paul are continuing to expand the scope of exhibits, learning activities and services for children, caregivers and teachers.

While inside, take a few minutes to look at the details of the handiwork. The clubhouse was built by the owner using trees from the property and fashioned in his own sawmill. The effort put into both the clubhouse and the courses is evident, with hard work and skilled craftsmanship around every corner.

PONDS/WOODS

The Ponds/Woods course is the ultimate shot-maker's course. With water on eight of the first nine holes, the priority is put on placement, not just distance. Add in the rolling terrain and every shot must be played with precision. The back nine gets no easier. With nine narrow fairways carved through the trees, it is accuracy that is the premise. On the signature hole, number 18, every shot must be placed with the utmost care, as this long dogleg is sure to be the definition of risk and reward. With tees located in numerous positions, this course was designed to make use of every club in the bag.

VALLEY

Surrounded by the rolling hills of Richfield, the Valley 18 is picturesque and challenging. After an uphill par 4 opening hole, the elevated tee box on #2 is the gateway to the valley, where the natural rolling terrain takes you meandering through the property. The highlights of the Valley have to be the elevation changes, with the signature being the 17th hole. The short par 3 playing at 110 yards is highlighted by the green being 44 feet above the tee box. The bunkers come into play on most holes, making it a good test of golf and a very enjoyable course for everyone.

THE ROLLING NINE

The Rolling Nine is a course in which the scenery might become a distraction. With breathtaking views from atop one of the many hills, you can see miles of the Washington County countryside. A challenge for most, the rolling elevation changes leave a lot of uphill or downhill shots, as well as many blind shots. Accuracy is a key here, as a well-struck tee shot in the generous fairway will leave chances to hit the ample greens. The Rolling Nine is a good complement to the Ponds/Woods and Valley Courses.

Choose from two distinctive 18 hole layouts, White Birch or Blue Spruce, or enjoy a sporting round on the 9 hole Red Pine course. Both White Birch and Blue Spruce are par 72 courses, measuring 6,977 and 6,687 yards, respectively.

All 45 holes at Brighton Dale Links offer distinctive variances including wetlands, mature trees, numerous bunkers and hilly terrain with well-manicured playing conditions. Brighton Dale Links is adjacent to the magnificent Bong Recreation Area.

Petrifying Springs Golf Course is Kenosha County's oldest public course, opened in 1936, and features abundant trees, rolling landscape and beauty of a mature course. It's been named #1 Sporty Course in Wisconsin by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel writer Gary D'Amato.
