How does IPL photorejuvenation treatment work?
Specialized hand pieces filter light to target blood vessels and pigment lesions. Each band of light spectrum has a wavelength that is ideal for different IPL treatments, such as sun spot removal and vessel clearance.
The photorejuvenation hand piece emits pulses of light into the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the sunspots and the blood in the visiable vessels, and converted to heat. The heat dissolves the cells that create the pigment and shrinks the blood vessels, fading them within two weeks.
