The Boston Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1979 by Benjamin Zander and has since released five critically acclaimed recordings including works by Stravinsky, Beethoven, Shostakovich and Ravel. Boston Philharmonic is not your ordinary music ensemble, rather following a unique vision of “passionate music-making without boundaries,” exhibiting exceptional music that both music aficionados as well as the casual listener can enjoy.

BPO offers comfort for new audiences by portraying an ultimate musical exploration offering a listener guide to the music as part of the concert experience. Maestro Zander also engages the audience with illuminating and captivating commentary before the performance joined by the orchestra to illustrate points with musical examples. Zander has a unique approach to illustrating classical music and his intense passion for the art form attracts hundreds of attendees for each talk.
