Thinking of buying a boat?  Now’s the time. The 2012 Lake Union Boats Afloat Show – one of the largest on-water shows on the West Coast – sets sail on Wednesday September 12th and continues through Sunday 16th, 2012. The 34th annual show marks the end of summer and the beginning of the boat buying season for many Puget Sound boaters. Whether you’re looking for your first boat or looking to trade up, the show is the place to find your dream boat. More than 50 distinct brands of yachts and 50 brokers and dealers from Washington, Oregon, California, Florida and British Columbia, Canada will display their yachts. The largest boat in the show is a Queenship Motor Yacht at 90 feet.  But there will also be dozens of sport boats for the wakeboard and watersports enthusiasts– from Cobalt, Malibu and Chaparral,to name a few–ranging from 18 to 30 feet. This show has it all! Today's Perk gets you two-for-one admission to this annual event.  

If you need a refreshing break after checking out all the great boats, kick back and relax at the Boats Afloat Show floating beer garden aboard a 68' authentic Paddle Wheeler, the Christine W. The beer garden will be pouring Redhook Wit and Widmer Drifter as well as Stonebridge wine.

Boats Afloat truly has something for everyone. Kids can try out free sailing lessons courtesy of Sandpoint Sailing School, or craft their own minature boats at the Banner Bank Boat Building station.
